Los Trinitarios earned their first win of the season Friday night, defeating Empire 92-84 in an entertaining contest at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.
Wayne O'Neal delivered a dominant performance for Los Trinitarios, pouring in a game-high 40 points while adding seven rebounds. He received strong support from Kevin Prince, who finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Jah Jah Daniel, who contributed 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Empire kept the game competitive behind outstanding efforts from Michael Leonard and Timron Nickie. Leonard recorded 34 points and 10 rebounds, while Nickie added 24 points. Despite their offensive production, Empire was unable to overcome Los Trinitarios' balanced attack and fourth-quarter surge.
The victory improves Los Trinitarios to 1-5 on the season, while Empire remains in search of its first win at 0-7.
