VG Elite Defeats DA 5th 78-63 in Strong Team Performance

VG Elite put together a balanced offensive and defensive effort Saturday night to secure a 78-63 victory over DA 5th at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

The win improved VG Elite's record to 3-1, while DA 5th fell to 4-2 on the season.

VG Elite was led by Stephano Paul, who scored a game-high 18 points while adding seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Stephon Caul provided strong support with 10 points and six rebounds, while Kimron T. contributed nine points and Demron G. added eight points and four rebounds.

The victory was fueled by a complete team effort as 11 players contributed to the scoring. VG Elite controlled the glass, outrebounding DA 5th 36-14, and applied relentless defensive pressure, forcing key turnovers while collecting 10 steals.

DA 5th was paced by Dione Blyden, who finished with 16 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Dwayne Stoutt and Jaa-mala Miller each scored nine points, while several players added six points apiece in a balanced but ultimately insufficient offensive effort.

Despite entering the game with the better record, DA 5th struggled to match VG Elite's energy on the boards and second-chance opportunities. VG Elite's dominance in rebounding and defensive intensity allowed them to gradually pull away and maintain control throughout the contest.

With the victory, VG Elite continues to establish itself as one of the league's top contenders, while DA 5th will look to bounce back in its next matchup as the season progresses.
