EAST Survives Late Push to Edge VG ELITE, 65-62

ROAD TOWN, Virgin Islands — EAST stayed unbeaten on the season after holding off a late rally from VG ELITE, escaping with a narrow 65-62 victory Saturday night at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

The game featured multiple lead changes and remained tight throughout, with EAST pulling ahead in the fourth quarter and doing just enough to secure the win as VG ELITE pressed until the final buzzer.

Jamari Dagou led EAST with 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists, providing a steady offensive spark throughout the contest. Romain Minott added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Khoi S. also contributed 12 points along with a rebound and a block. Riquan Fahie chipped in seven points, five rebounds, and three assists, and Demoii Dagou filled the stat sheet with five points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Shakeem Tyson made a major defensive impact with three points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks.

EAST’s balanced effort and defensive presence helped them withstand VG ELITE’s late scoring surge, improving their record to 3-0.

VG ELITE was led by Kimron T., who scored a game-high 19 points while adding three assists. Stephano Paul added 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists, while Lekoy Lennard contributed nine points, three rebounds, and two assists. Shamar G posted eight points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in a strong all-around effort. Demron G also finished with eight points, four rebounds, and two steals.

Despite the loss, VG ELITE battled throughout and showed strong interior play, but fell just short as they dropped to 2-1 on the season.
