SKILLFUL BALLERS Race Past MT. ZION STARS for 86-55 Junior Division Victory

ROAD TOWN, Virgin Islands — SKILLFUL BALLERS delivered a dominant all-around performance Saturday evening, cruising to an 86-55 victory over MT. ZION STARS in Junior Division action at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

SKILLFUL BALLERS set the tone early, exploding for 27 points in the opening quarter while limiting MT. ZION STARS to just three. The lead continued to grow as SKILLFUL BALLERS maintained control throughout the contest, carrying a 46-16 advantage into halftime before securing the 31-point win.

Alec Leonard led the balanced SKILLFUL BALLERS attack with 14 points, adding one assist and one steal. Micaiah Jones contributed 12 points, five rebounds, and a game-high six assists while also recording seven steals. Jah-shamane Daniel and Ne'Shawn Frett each scored 10 points, with Daniel adding three rebounds and two assists. Kevin Prince filled the stat sheet with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and five steals, while Jadey Glasgow chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.

SKILLFUL BALLERS showcased excellent teamwork, finishing with 18 assists and forcing numerous turnovers that led to easy scoring opportunities. The team also recorded an impressive 23 steals.

MT. ZION STARS was led by Malik G., who scored a team-high 12 points while grabbing six rebounds and blocking one shot. K'Andre Barry and Zion P. each added 11 points. Barry also contributed four rebounds, one assist, and two steals, while Zion P. posted a double-double with 13 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. Michael S. added 10 points for MT. ZION STARS in the loss.

Despite holding a 39-35 rebounding advantage, MT. ZION STARS struggled to overcome SKILLFUL BALLERS' defensive pressure and fast-paced offense.

With the victory, SKILLFUL BALLERS improved to 2-1 on the season, matching MT. ZION STARS, who also stand at 2-1.
