DA 5TH Edges ALL GAS NO BRAKES in Thriller, 83-80 Comeback Win

ROAD TOWN, Virgin Islands — DA 5TH closed the game on a strong fourth-quarter push to rally past ALL GAS NO BRAKES 83-80 on Friday night at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, improving to 3-1 on the season.

Trailing by multiple points entering the final quarter, DA 5TH outscored ALL GAS NO BRAKES 20-9 down the stretch to complete the comeback in a tightly contested matchup that featured several lead changes and big individual performances.

Franklyn Penn Jr. led DA 5TH with a dominant 28 points, adding three rebounds and one assist while knocking down five three-pointers. Dominic Ward contributed 16 points and eight rebounds, while Dione Blyden added 12 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Ryan Alfred finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and an assist, and Jaa-mala Miller chipped in six points, four rebounds, and a key all-around effort.

DA 5TH’s balanced attack and late defensive stands proved decisive as they secured the narrow victory in front of a competitive crowd.

ALL GAS NO BRAKES was led by Elijah Peltier, who scored 26 points on 11 made field goals while adding five rebounds and two assists. Nkel Stevens contributed 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Alonzo Baptiste posted 13 points and nine rebounds. Rakeel Jack added six points, six rebounds, and three assists, and Kalique Maduro finished with eight points and four assists.

Despite strong offensive production and a 36-rebound effort, ALL GAS NO BRAKES dropped to 1-3 after being unable to hold off DA 5TH’s late surge.
